Birthday Party Theme: She’s a Sweet One

The first birthday party. So special and so bittersweet. It feels like a “We Made It” moment.

This theme feels perfect for a spring or summer baby, that is just so sweet! From all the pastel colors, and sweet treats - who couldn’t have fun at this party?!

Mom-to-Mom Shortcut: Typically, I like to save money by keeping 1-3 colors in the birthday theme. However, this theme deserves all the pastel colors. I was able to find decor items that all tied in together.

1. The Party Essentials

In this section, I’m going to keep it as a simple checklist. These are the must have items for any party!

• The Invitations: To save on money, we send digital invites via text message. I use Canva to create these, and it is so much fun adding my own personal touch. However, if you love to send a paper invitations there are a few on Amazon you can order. Here is an invitation I thought was unique and cute!

• Tableware Base: If you stick around to read my other blog posts, you will come to find I love a good solid color for tableware. I feel it saves money and adds an elevated look to a children’s party.

• Activities to Keep Little One’s Busy:

  • Pin the Cherry on the Ice Cream Cone

  • Bubble Machine

• Goodie Bags: I like to provide goodie bags that are consumable, or a “higher” dollar item. There is nothing worse than coming home from a party with new small toys that are choking hazards. Specifically for this party, you could provide a bag of sweet treats to go.
